Balenciaga – Up

Last time I went to Paris I had the privilege of attending a Balenciaga fashion show, of course we weren’t in the front row but we were only a few rows back. It was fantastic and no words can describe the electric feeling in the air with everyone buzzing around getting ready and waiting for that first model to come out. My dear friend who lives in Paris arranged the day through his friend who was Balenciaga’s jewellery designer at the time. We also went backstage afterwards to meet the who’s who, which was the best part of the day, although I have never in my life, felt so short as I did that day next to those beautiful models, but it was totally worth it!!

3.1 Phillip Lim

I could wear any of these three looks, they are so versatile and the colour blocking is right on trend. Its always refreshing to see a designer who is making clothes for the ordinary person, a look that can go straight from the catwalk to the street effortlessly.

Romance Was Born

Miss J’s stunning Romance Was Born shirt. The print on this fabric is straight from a photo of New York’s skyline and then it has been screen printed straight onto the fabric, the tie and cuffs of the shirt have an antique watch print contrasting with the skyline. Wow

Super Layers

I have been obsessed with this picture for some time now, not just the shot itself but also the styling of the clothes. Layer upon layer of texture and colour put together with such ease. I sometimes wish very much that we could dress like this here in Sydney, but alas, its way too warm for layering here, maybe I will have to move to Europe or at least visit there more often. Maybe Paris this September! oh lala
