Love just strolling around the great city, soaking up the people and atmosphere. Although I was staying with my good friend the whole time it was a nice reprieve from being led around the great city with him knowing exactly where we are going everyday day. I like to go exploring by myself, and sometimes get lost and end up asking the stranger in the street for help, so Parisian. And I get to do it all again next year, can’t wait. Oh and that’s not my bag, wish it was though! Au Revoir my lovelies xxx
Introducing…Sara Bailes Clothing
Sophisticated, fresh, sporty and chic, Sara Bailes ready to wear collection has been created to complement the female figure. Designed in Australia and produced by a small, dedicated team in Indonesia, the range features locally sourced fabrics, in-house prints and natural fibres. With a carefully considered fit and an emphasis on clean lines, Sara Bailes brings together years of experience working in the fashion industry for her first solo collection. Grounded in a desire to produce quality garments, that combine classic shapes and a contemporary aesthetic, the vision is for a strong, consistent and internationally focused label.
After studying both business and fashion, Sara started her career working as a design assistant for Karen Walker in New Zealand. As a crucial part of the creative team, over 3 years, Sara became one of the key designers for Karen Walker jewellery, accessories, knitwear and leather goods. Sara’s position also saw her travelling the world to work closely with Karen to cast and style runway shows including New York Fashion Week. Returning to Melbourne in 2011, Sara accepted a position as a Senior Designer at Gorman where for 3 years she was in charge of swimwear, shoes, accessories, leather goods and jewellery design. Presented with a number of International design opportunities in 2014 including brands such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sara decided instead to pursue her own vision, creating and launching her own Label, Sara Bailes Clothing.
